Fashion Week & The City put Pearl Academy’s next generation on a London runway this February

Fashion Week & The City returned to London Fashion Week with a multi-designer showcase at St John’s Church, Hyde Park, opening the month’s schedule with a focus on emerging voices and global creative exchange.

At the centre of this edition were three emerging designers from India’s Pearl Academy (referred to as Pearl Designers Academy in the release), presented as a snapshot of the college’s fashion-forward outlook. Linked by a shared commitment to craftsmanship and cultural storytelling, the collections fused traditional references with modern silhouettes — using runway as a space to explore identity, sustainability, and the tension between heritage and contemporary form.

The showcase also reflected Fashion Week & The City’s ongoing positioning as a platform designed to help designers enter the UK and European markets. With inclusivity and accessibility built into its message, the format reframed the fashion-week experience as something more open and developmental — offering visibility as a tool for growth rather than a prize for insiders.
