LFW AW26: Samantha Siu Hosted a Rosewood London Dinner and Introduced the Celestial Icicles Necklace

During London Fashion Week AW26, jewellery designer Samantha Siu hosted a private on-schedule dinner at Rosewood London on 19 February at 7:30pm, welcoming press, tastemakers, influencers and long-time friends of the brand. The evening celebrated Siu’s latest chapter in fine jewellery storytelling and her ongoing approach to ethical, symbolism-driven design.

Based in New York, Siu is known for narrative collections and a meticulous wax-carving process that allows her to sculpt jewellery with both organic fluidity and architectural precision. Her work aims to bring “adventure and enchantment” into fine jewellery while remaining anchored in social and ethical responsibility.

The key reveal of the night was the Celestial Icicles Necklace, launched as a limited-edition piece within Siu’s A Love Affair collection. Inspired by Iceland, the necklace referenced arctic atmospheres through cloudy aquamarine stones—her birthstone—set into silver frames, suggesting glacial textures and the muted skies that define the landscape.

Details carried the story further: the angular chain incorporated rope-like elements in reference to Iceland’s agricultural and maritime identity, while the clasp took its cue from Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík. The sculptural geometry echoed basalt prism formations, turning Icelandic architecture and geology into a wearable motif.

Siu’s design journey began early at age 13 within her family’s high-volume manufacturing business, later refined through study at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Wax carving became the technique that shaped her signature language and remains central to her practice.

The broader A Love Affair collection continues to translate travel, romance and cultural symbols into contemporary heirlooms through bold structure, natural stones and finely worked metal—balancing sentiment with modern design clarity.
