London Fashion Day (LFD) has brought a student designer, an emerging Nigerian model and a team of London-based creatives together for its official Season 8 campaign shoot, introducing the concept PAST. PRESENT. NEXT. ahead of the event on 8 November 2026. Featuring a design by Gabrielle Nitu, a student at the London College of Contemporary Arts, the campaign places young creative talent at the centre of the platform’s next chapter, connecting fashion education, visual storytelling and professional collaboration.
Rather than building the campaign around established industry figures, London Fashion Day has chosen to focus on people developing their creative identities and beginning to establish themselves within the industry.
A New Generation at the Centre of the Campaign
At the heart of the shoot is a creation by Gabrielle Nitu, who studies at the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA).
Her design was worn by emerging Nigerian model @thee_aitch_o, who is at an early stage of her career in London’s fashion industry.
The collaboration brings together two different stages of creative development: a designer translating her ideas into clothing and a model gaining experience through professional fashion image-making.
For independent fashion platforms, opportunities of this kind can provide an important connection between education and professional practice. A campaign shoot introduces participants to the collaborative process behind a fashion production, where garments, modelling, photography, film and beauty must work together to communicate a shared concept.
For London Fashion Day founder Kostiantyn Lieontiev, creating these opportunities is an important part of the platform’s purpose.
“We cannot decide who will become the next important name in fashion. What we can do is make sure that talent has an opportunity to be seen. Sometimes, all a young designer needs is someone willing to open the door,”
said Kostiantyn Lieontiev, Founder of London Fashion Day.
The Creative Team Behind Season 8
The campaign brings together several creatives whose work contributes to its visual identity.
The campaign film was created by Dinara Ostr, continuing her collaboration with London Fashion Day across multiple seasons. Her work develops the concept through film, with movement, form and transformation informing the visual narrative.
Photography was led by Mariana Zabramna, bringing the campaign into still imagery alongside its moving-image presentation.
Make-up was created by @makeup.byandzelika, contributing to the presentation of the featured design.
The production was led by Andrii Karakushan and Kostiantyn Lieontiev, who lead London Fashion Day under AK Brand Agency.
The shoot was hosted by YourSpace (@this.is.yourspace), which provided the location for the Season 8 campaign production.
Together, the contributors demonstrate the collaborative nature of fashion imagery. The finished photograph or film may present a single visual identity, but its creation depends on decisions made across several disciplines, from the original garment to its interpretation in front of the camera.
PAST. PRESENT. NEXT. — Fashion Between Heritage and Change
The campaign introduces PAST. PRESENT. NEXT., the creative concept behind London Fashion Day’s eighth season.
The three-part theme examines fashion through its relationship with cultural heritage, contemporary creative practice and the generations that will influence its development.
It also raises a question increasingly relevant to designers working alongside new technologies: how can fashion embrace changing methods of creation while preserving craftsmanship, individuality and the human experiences behind clothing?
For the Season 8 campaign, that question is approached through the people involved in making the images.
Featuring a student designer and an emerging model provides a direct connection to the concept’s final element, NEXT. Both participants represent creative practices still in development, while their collaboration with experienced members of the production team brings different stages of professional experience into the same project.
The result is an introduction to the season’s theme grounded in the creative process rather than an attempt to illustrate each of its three words literally.
Looking Ahead to London Fashion Day Season 8
The eighth season of London Fashion Day will take place on 8 November 2026 at Porchester Hall in Westminster, London.
The campaign offers an early visual introduction to the upcoming event, with the official film and photography scheduled to be shared through London Fashion Day’s digital platforms.
For a platform focused on providing opportunities for emerging designers and independent fashion talent, the decision to feature young creatives in its campaign has a significance beyond the resulting images.
It places the next generation within the production itself, giving them a visible role in shaping how the new season is introduced.
With PAST. PRESENT. NEXT., London Fashion Day connects its wider ideas about fashion’s heritage and future to something immediate: the people being given an opportunity to create today.
