In 2026, fragrance launches are increasingly arriving as duos — two compositions released side by side, designed to read like companion pieces rather than separate statements. Across Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Rabanne and Burberry, the pairing format is being used to sharpen contrast: vanilla versus amber, fruit versus spice, florals versus woods, softness versus intensity.
Armani frames its duo around vanilla and amber. Power of You centres creamy floral notes with Madagascar vanilla extract in the base, positioned as a day-to-evening scent. Emporio Armani Stronger With You Powerfully takes a smokier route as an amber fougère, opening with cherry and mandarin, moving through lavender and spices, and settling into vanilla, amber and caramelised chestnut, with claimed longevity of up to 24 hours.
Dolce & Gabbana returns to its signature franchise with The One Eau de Parfum Intense and The One Eau de Parfum Intense for Men, supported by a new campaign featuring Madonna. The women’s scent (Quentin Bisch) is built around pink pepper, jasmine, and a vanilla-amber finish. The men’s version (Jean-Christophe Hérault) leans magnetic and warm, combining black pepper, Tarocco orange, labdanum and tobacco.
Valentino introduces Donna Born in Roma Purple Melancholia and Uomo Born in Roma Purple Melancholia. The Donna EDP opens with plum, moves into osmanthus and jasmine, and closes on vanilla. The Uomo EDT contrasts cardamom and lavender with amber woods and creamy coconut.
Rabanne builds a high-contrast duo with FAME IN LOVE Parfum Elixir (woody-floral with strawberry) and PHANTOM IN RED Parfum Elixir, described as a new take on PHANTOM’s lavender anchored by amber and aromatic woods.
Burberry pairs Goddess Eau de Parfum Intense (four shades of vanilla, including smoky vanilla SFE, with lavender in an amber-woody direction) and Hero Parfum, a woody composition structured around three types of cedar, supported by amyris and cypriol. The Goddess Intense bottle is described as refillable, reinforcing the brand’s sustainability messaging.
