During London Fashion Week AW26, Poet-Lab unveiled “Inside the Lab” in Spitalfields (E1), presenting a restrained yet powerful collection that examined how femininity is formed—and how it can be reclaimed. The show centred on a subtle turning point: leaving expectation behind and choosing self-authorship.
“Inside the Lab” questioned refinement as an external demand, repositioning it as something consciously owned. The collection avoided loud rebellion and instead delivered a controlled language of power: clean lines, intentional exposure and sensuality without performance. References to 90s restraint, pared-back 70s shapes and personal emancipation shaped a wardrobe of “dignity after rupture.”
The silhouettes remained minimal and deliberate: elongated columns, slips and tailored pieces, with asymmetry, open backs, off-shoulder lines and restrained draping. Small hardware details replaced decoration, keeping the focus on precision and intention rather than ornament.
The casting strengthened the show’s message that femininity is not granted—it is claimed. The line-up included Elton Ilirjani (@eilirjani) and Elliott with 2 T’s (@therealelliottqueen), while Tayce (@itstayce) closed the show wearing a reimagined take on Princess Diana’s wedding dress, reinforcing the collection’s dialogue with cultural memory and inner independence. Genevieve Chenneour (@genevievechenneour)—Bridgerton actress and former elite athlete—also appeared on the runway, adding another dimension of discipline-led modern womanhood.
