SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD 2026 Brings Two Days of Ukrainian Fashion to Odesa

SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD 2026 will return to Odesa on 8 and 9 August as a two-day Ukrainian fashion event connecting runway presentations with education and professional exchange. The programme will unfold across MarAmax Academy and the Odesa Botanical Garden of I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University, bringing together designers, fashion brands, clothing, footwear and accessories manufacturers, educational institutions, media and industry professionals.

The new season will focus on summer and cruise collections while creating space for both established brands and emerging designers. This combination reflects the wider purpose of SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD: to present Ukrainian design not as an isolated runway moment, but as part of the country’s creative, educational and manufacturing landscape.

A Summer Platform for Ukrainian Design

Founded in 2014, SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD has developed into one of Ukraine’s leading independent fashion platforms. Over more than a decade, the project has presented collections by young designers, recognised Ukrainian labels and manufacturers from across the country.

It has also created connections between the creative community, business, universities, media and international partners. Its summer format places Ukrainian fashion within the cultural context of Odesa, drawing attention to the relationship between design, the city and its audience.

“SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD began in 2014. We imagined it as a separate cruise project and a summer fashion event that could become a calling card for Odesa. Its main purpose was to draw the attention of residents and visitors to Ukrainian designers and national brands,” said Kostiantyn Lieontiev, founder of SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD.

“We have always believed that fashion should remain open to the city, its atmosphere and its people. SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD became a platform where Ukrainian design meets culture, architecture and the distinctive energy of Odesa in summer,” he added.

8 August: DeClassic at MarAmax Academy

The first day of the season will take place at MarAmax Academy and centre on a presentation by Ukrainian designer brand DeClassic.

Founded by designer Anastasiia Mykytyn, DeClassic works between classic tailoring and contemporary conceptual fashion. The brand develops womenswear through the deconstruction of traditional suiting, reconsidering familiar forms while retaining their precision and elegance.

Its approach places individuality at the centre of the garment. Rather than asking women to adapt to established rules of dressing, DeClassic uses design to explore how clothing can communicate strength, confidence and a more personal definition of elegance.

DJ esvyato, also known as Maryna Shtelmashuk, will provide the musical programme for the evening.

9 August: Summer and Cruise Collections

On 9 August, SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD will move to the Odesa Botanical Garden for a programme of summer and cruise collection presentations.

The participating Ukrainian designers and brands are PANACEA, LUMÉA, Yankovska Helen & lady forever, Soul Swim, Nimble Scissors and KEOSMY by yesundress.

Young designers from the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design will also present their collections through the project’s educational partnership with the university. Their inclusion gives the programme a view of the next generation entering Ukraine’s fashion industry.

“One of our key tasks is to create a professional platform where designers’ collections can reach the media, the industry and new audiences. By bringing the season to the Botanical Garden, we want to integrate fashion into Odesa’s cultural space and show the city as a natural environment for contemporary creative projects,” said Oleh Shkilniuk, producer of SUMMER WEEKEND by OFD.

“The connection between fashion, culture, education and the urban environment creates a new quality for Ukrainian fashion events,” he added.
