Lviv Fashion Week SS26: Ukrainian Fashion Evolves Through Inclusivity and Purpose
Lviv Fashion Week reaffirmed its place as one of Ukraine’s leading cultural events, turning the city into a centre of creativity, inclusivity, and social purpose. Across four days of runway shows, exhibitions, and educational collaborations, LFW SS26 highlighted the growing maturity and values of the Ukrainian fashion industry.
The season opened on 24 October with a presentation by Marta Brown Studio, followed by two full days of shows at Barvy Event Hall featuring a strong lineup of national designers. Among them were VOZIANOV, JULIYA KROS, STARCHAK, VBRANA by Svitlana Mykytyuk, Olesia HRYN, ATTIRE by Halyna Davydiuk, BALOSSA, “Vilna Ya,” and ANOMY_garment — all showcasing collections that combined modern aesthetics with social awareness.
A key part of the programme was the graduate show from the Lviv National Academy of Arts (LNAAM), featuring works by Maryna Pish, Valerii Hrodzevych, Daria Tarashchuk, Valentyna Hoshtynar, Daria Skydaniuk, and Kateryna Marchenko. Their collections demonstrated the next generation’s creative potential and the Academy’s crucial role in shaping Ukraine’s fashion future.
This season placed inclusivity at the forefront. JULIYA KROS, VOZIANOV, and ANOMY_garment integrated adaptive fashion concepts and diverse models, expanding representation on the Ukrainian runway. The message was clear — fashion should reflect reality and empower everyone, regardless of body type or mobility.
In collaboration with the 24 Charity Foundation, Lviv Fashion Week introduced a new “invitation by donation” format, raising funds for Ukraine’s 47th Mechanised Brigade. The initiative, dedicated to LFW’s long-time photographer Ihor Fedoriv, turned the act of attending a fashion show into a gesture of solidarity.
LFW also joined forces with LNAAM for a cross-disciplinary exhibition, “This Is Not That,” which explored the three-dimensional intersections of archaic, plastic, and modern art. Featured artists included Volodymyr Odrekhivskyi, Serhiy Drobyshevskyi, Liudmyla Davydenko, Hanna Drul, and Ihor Bereza, curated by Kseniya Tsikhurska of the Friends of LNAAM Foundation.
The event was supported by Western Ukrainian Mercedes-Benz Automotive House, LEV Development, Lux FM Radio, and the 24 Charity Foundation, whose involvement underscored the link between art, business, and community.
Lviv Fashion Week SS26 solidified a powerful direction for Ukraine’s fashion scene — one where creativity meets conscience. By championing education, sustainability, and inclusion, LFW continues to prove that style is strongest when it serves a greater purpose.
